Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition and Stanford Hospital & Clinics invite you to a day of discussion and learning. Join us as we bring together a team of experts, government officials, and advocates to delve into positive ways to improve health and safety by promoting bicycling and other forms of active transportation.

We will be joined by veteran cycling advocate Randy Neufeld of the Chicago’s Active Transportation Alliance and the SRAM Cycling Fund as well as Streetsblog founder and author of Honku: The Zen Antidote for Road Rage, Aaron Naparstek. A series of panel discussions and workshops, with a strong emphasis on audience participation and interaction, will explore current issues in promoting and protecting bicycling. Topics will include:

• Approaches to complete streets infrastructure
• Current issues in state and federal advocacy
• Risk communication strategies for public agencies
• Cycling and the law
• Safe Routes to School
• Recent local advocacy campaigns and training
• Novel partnerships in promoting health and safety through bicycling

We hope you will be able to join us on April 17, from 2:00 to 8:00 pm, at the Oshman Family Jewish Community Center at 3921 Fabian Way in Palo Alto, CA. Dinner will be provided.

The event is divided evenly for those who can attend before 5:00 and those who cannot. Join us in the evening and you'll still get to sit in on one breakout session, hear one of our two great keynote speakers, and enjoy dinner!
